I am a licensed psychologist and native Houstonian with over [X] years of experience supporting individuals, teenagers, and couples. My path into psychology began here in Houston, where I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas, followed by a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston. I completed my internship at Baylor College of Medicine and trained at many respected hospitals and clinics, including M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, the Houston Area Women’s Center, DePelchin Children’s Center, and the Neuropsychiatric Center at Ben Taub General Hospital.

My Approach to Therapy

In my practice, I tailor therapy to the individual or couple in front of me. My style is flexible, warm, and present-focused. I want therapy to feel both safe and practical — a place where you can be deeply heard while also learning tools that help you navigate daily life more effectively.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which focuses on shifting unhelpful thought and behavior patterns. I also draw from mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches, which encourage clients to step out of judgment, find new perspectives, and move toward lives guided by their values. For couples, I integrate the Gottman Method to strengthen communication, trust, and connection.
This blend allows clients to better cope with strong emotions, feel less “stuck,” and move forward with more clarity and resilience.
